Mokkups Usage License

This license explains how you may use mockups created and exported through Mokkups. By creating or exporting mockups using our platform, you acknowledge and accept these terms.

Overview

1. Understanding Your License

1.1 Free License

The free license covers mockups exported without a paid subscription and applies to:

• Personal, non-revenue generating activities only
• Mockups exported with visible watermarks
• Projects requiring proper attribution to Mokkups

Permitted uses include:

• Personal design portfolios and case studies
• Educational assignments and academic presentations
• Non-commercial social media posts
• Practice and learning exercises

1.2 Paid License

Active paid subscribers receive an extended commercial license that permits:

• All personal and commercial applications
• Watermark-free exports
• No attribution requirement
• Professional client deliverables

Approved commercial uses include:

• Freelance work and agency projects
• Marketing campaigns and promotional content
• Product demonstrations and sales materials
• Website design, app store listings, and documentation
• Presentations, pitch decks, and investor materials

Mockups exported during an active paid subscription remain licensed for continued use even after subscription cancellation, as long as usage complies with this agreement.

2. Content Rights and Ownership

2.1 Mokkups Templates

All device frames, mockup templates, and design assets available through Mokkups are our intellectual property or used under appropriate licenses. These resources are licensed to you for creating mockups—not transferred as owned assets.

2.2 Your Uploaded Content

Screenshots, designs, logos, and other materials you upload remain entirely yours. We process your content solely to generate your mockups and do not retain, store, or claim any rights to your uploaded materials. Your content is not saved to our servers after export.

3. Attribution Guidelines

3.1 Free Plan Attribution

Mockups created under the free plan must include visible credit:

"Mockup created with Mokkups"

Attribution should be placed in a reasonable location such as image captions, project descriptions, or page footers where the mockup appears.

3.2 Paid Plan Attribution

Premium subscribers are not required to provide attribution, though we always appreciate it when you do.

4. Permitted Uses

4.1 Modification Rights

You may freely edit, crop, resize, filter, or otherwise modify your exported mockups for use in accordance with your license type.

4.2 Distribution Scope

Premium users have unlimited distribution rights across all media formats—digital displays, printed materials, video content, social platforms, advertisements, and more—provided the usage aligns with section 5 restrictions below.

5. Restrictions and Prohibited Activities

Regardless of your license type, the following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Using free plan mockups for any paid, client, or revenue-generating work
• Redistributing, reselling, or sublicensing Mokkups templates or device frames
• Packaging mockup templates into downloadable collections, design kits, or marketplace products
• Building competing mockup services or tools using our templates
• Claiming Mokkups templates or derivatives as your own trademarked designs
• Using mockups in defamatory, illegal, or harmful contexts
• Training artificial intelligence or machine learning models with our content

5.1 Derivative Works

You may not extract, recreate, or sell derivative versions of our mockup templates that closely replicate the original design. Exported mockups may be incorporated into larger creative projects, but the mockup template itself cannot be the primary standalone product being sold.

5.2 Integration into Automated Platforms

You may not embed our mockup templates into user-facing tools, platforms, or services that allow others to generate mockups, including website builders, design automation tools, or similar applications—unless you have a separate commercial API agreement with Mokkups.

5.3 Automated Downloading

Scraping, automated downloading, or bulk extraction of templates, assets, or previews from the Mokkups platform is prohibited.

6. License Termination

We reserve the right to revoke your license and terminate access to Mokkups if you violate these terms. Mockups you exported in good faith prior to termination may continue to be used in compliance with the license under which they were originally exported.

7. No Warranties

Mokkups is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the service will meet your specific needs. All warranties, express or implied, are disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Liability Limitations

Mokkups and its operators shall not be held liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of revenue, business opportunities, or data
• Claims exceeding the amount you paid to Mokkups in the preceding 12 months

9. Applicable Law

This license is governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any legal disputes arising from this agreement will be resolved in the appropriate courts of Switzerland.
